First let me thank you for your interest in Zap Electrolysis and Skin Care. I founded Zap Electrolysis in 2003 but my education started somewhere around 1993.

My introduction to electrolysis was as a client first. As many of you know, it can be addicting, and I've had electrolysis done on almost every body part. So when I'm working on you, I know how it feels. And I know how wonderful it is to finally be rid of unwanted hair.

Skin Care seemed the next logical step as I was repeatedly asked for advice on various skin issues as well as which products were recommended. Having had my own long-term struggle with extremely sensitive and often blemished skin, I'm hoping to use everything I've learned from my past experiences with doctors and products as well as my current and future educational endeavors to offer you the best skin care treatments and advice. It is said there are those who do and those who teach. I do and then I teach to you.

On a personal level, I am an animal advocate and am very passionate about animal rescue. I hope you will find time to checkout a few of the great organizations on the links page. There are so many unwanted animals. Please adopt from a local shelter or rescue and avoid the "puppy mills." And of course, Spay and Neuter!

My journey as an Electrologist began as I searched for a career change. I was working as a medical assistant for over ten years, specializing in OB/Gyn. I enrolled at the American Institute of Electrology where I completed the program and received my license. I have found what I truly love as a profession. My focus is solely on the clients comfort and maximum result. I am delighted to be a part of the Zap! Electrolysis and Skin Care team.

When I arrived in the United States from the Ukraine 5 years ago, I had a few hairs on my upper lip that I was self conscious about and I wanted them removed. I chose electrology over laser hair removal because I wanted something that was permanent. I was so thrilled with the results that I decided to become an electrologist myself, so that I could help people who were struggling with the same issue. I can personally relate to anyone dealing with an unwanted hair problem. After graduating from school and getting my license (and having a baby boy), I was lucky enough to come and work with the Zap! Electrolysis and Skin Care team. I feel it's important for every client to get the best possible treatment and advice from me with regard to hair removal, because I want them to be happy with the final results.

I have a lifelong love affair with all things esthetic which has guided my career in becoming a licensed professional skin care expert. I love to share my passion, vision and knowledge to enhance the health and beauty of my clients. I began my career in the fashion industry as a clothing designer and stylist; however, the skin care profession is my passion. I am a very results driven esthetician and I enjoy helping my clients attain beautiful skin through treatments, education and establishing a personalized skin care regime. I specialize in the treatment of acne, sun damage reversal, skin beautification programs, anti aging remedies as well as at home skin care renewal products. As continuing education is of paramount importance to me, I am always researching and learning about the newest technologies.

I have a true passion for the field of permanent hair removal and a sincere understanding regarding unwanted hair. My experience with electrolysis began at the age of 20, when I went for treatment of unwanted hair that made me both embarrassed and very self-conscious. Around 2004 I found an electrologist whose skills, professional demeanor, and love of her profession had a very big impact on me. She really understood what I was going through personally with the unwanted hair! When I was thinking about making a career change some years later, it was the memory of this woman (who had since passed away from cancer) and my desire to work in a field where I could help others on an individual level that prompted me to explore electrolysis as a career. Today, I am very proud to be a working member in the field of electrolysis. I love applying my skills to help others get rid of their unwanted hair and feel better about themselves. When clients notice that the hair is coming back less and less or tell me that they no longer have hair on their chin anymore due to electrolysis, I feel a great sense of satisfaction. I am dedicated to continuing education in the field of electrolysis so that I can apply the newest proven treatment methods.

I hold/held the following positions with the Electrologists’ Association of California:

  • 2016-2018 3rd Vice President, Newsletter
  • 2014-2016 3rd Vice President, Newsletter (Editor of the EAC newsletter serving electrologists throughout the state of California)

My journey in electrolysis began as a steadfast client during my late teenage years. Suffering with the negative side effects of unwanted hair from PCOS and consequent battles with birth control pills, I found the incredible process of electrolysis and began to get my freedom back! Electrolysis was my salvation and the only way that I could hold my head high. I knew that I was working towards permanently removing the hair, forever, giving me tremendous peace of mind. Now in my 30's I have decided to become a practitioner to give back and share the knowledge of my experience with other women looking to free themselves from unwanted hair. Quality of work is a source of pride so I focus on working with each client's individual needs. I concentrate on client education and finding the precise level needed for each individual client on each area of the body. After all, no two clients and areas are alike! I am very positive and passionate about this process because it works! When I'm not working as an electrologist I enjoy practicing my spanish and french, working on polishing my photography portfolio and completing my MA in Counseling Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. I look forward to working with you!

Skincare has always been important to me. For many years, I searched to find a skincare professional to address my needs. Many times I was disappointed by the lack of education and information. So I decided to turn my interest into a career and became an esthetician myself. I studied at Santa Monica College, which offers a very good esthetician program. Now, I am able to help people take care of and protect their skin and feel beautiful and more confident about themselves.
